“Intentional Sunset” As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting its warm and vibrant light over the blue waters, I found myself standing atop a high weathered bluff above the beach in LaJolla California. The endless expanse of the Pacific Ocean stretched before me leading to a beautiful sunset. Enjoying the moment I could hear the waves crashing below and smell the salt tang in the air. Setting up my camera and tripod I framed up this shot using intentional movement as I opened the shutter. The resulting photograph encapsulated the tranquility and the overwhelming majesty of that ephemeral sunset in a new, abstracted way, a frozen echo of a moment when movement made all the difference.
